Ford Bronco Is Tested Off-Road

The American automaker has released a video, in which the long-awaited Ford Bronco was tested off-road. The new car debuts in spring, so it means that it is totally ready to be launched.

However, the video annotation explains that the tests performed in Johnson Valley demonstrate «not final vehicle”. Even the main character of this „short film”, an experimental Bronco prototype, was disguised as a pickup truck. There have already been photos of the disguised car.

According to preliminary information, the new Ford Bronco is being manufactured on the current Ranger’s platform, which means it will have independent front suspension and rear springs. The engine range will consist of branded turbo engines, which are already known for being installed in other production models. Probably, it is about the Ranger’s 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine with a power output of 270 hp, as well as one or two more powerful units. For example, the car may have. a 2.7-liter V6 engine from the Ford F-150 that delivers 330 hp.

Ford previously demonstrated the new Bronco in the form of an aggressive SUV designed especially for the Baja 1000. The sports prototype didn't perform successfully in the race, unlike James Glickenhaus’ SUV.
